About us
At Sydney Trains, our rail services keep Sydney moving by putting our customers at the centre of everything we do. We work with our local communities to deliver safe, timely and efficient rail services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our trains and network are evolving to meet the needs of our customers now and well into the future. We’re continuing to integrate technological innovations that help us deliver a smarter and more sustainable network.
About the team
Train Drivers are part of the Sydney Trains Crew Service Experience team. Our team provides safe, reliable and efficient customer rail services across the Sydney metropolitan area.
More than 1.3 million customers travel across our Sydney Trains network every day. In the last five years, customer journeys have increased by 30 per cent and are expected to keep growing at five per cent per year, with a potential two million customer journeys on weekdays by 2026 and an anticipated increase of two million more people living in NSW by 2031.
We’re preparing for the future by employing more crew across our team, adding 41 new trains to our fleet, implementing new technology, and continuing to integrate with the Sydney Metro network.
The opportunity
Want to learn all the skills it takes to be a Train Driver while earning a full-time salary?
With customer demand for our train services continuing to rise, we’re looking for the next generation of Train Drivers to deliver safe and fast travel for our customers now and into the future.
