With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol, and sustainable agricultural products.

To be more specific, Wilmar manufactures over half of Australia's raw sugar, and each year exports enough electricity to power more than 68,000 Australian homes for 12 months. As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.

Job Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has become available for an entry level Training Cadet to join our Learning and Development team based in Sarina on a fixed term contract. This busy role will see you learning how to create amazing online content and deliver our site-based inductions, whilst maintaining employee records and documentation. Whilst gaining on the job experience, you'll also be supported in completing a recognised vocational training and assessing qualification.

The Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will be dedicated, driven and have a can-do attitude. Experience in a similar role or in a heavy industrial environment would be beneficial but is not necessary.

Something about you

You will exhibit strong skills in Microsoft Office suite and ideally have previous knowledge of learning management systems. Formal qualifications in Digital Media Creation, Training and Assessment or similar would be highly advantageous but not essential as you will be supported in completing a recognised vocational qualification if required.
