About the position
Terra Mining are seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to join the team at the Binduli project in Kalgoorlie region, WA.
Reporting to the HSET Superintendent, you will identify the needs of the site training requirements and create development plans to ensure these needs are delivered with your team of training professionals.
This role will work an 8&6 roster for FIFO candidates or a 9 day fortnight (5/2 4/3) for residential candidates.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Analyze organizational training needs and modify existing training programs to meet the needs of the training needs analysis.
- Evaluate the performance and teaching methods of the Training Advisors. Provide recommendations for improvement in methods and training approaches.
- Develop educational training plans for ongoing improvements in operators.
- Schedule continuing skill development and technical training classes for existing employees. Focusing on the importance of continual growth and learning.
- Liaise with site supervisors the training needs of their teams and plan training requirements.
- Cooperate with management to create and conduct surveys designed to identify specific training needs within the organization by having an up to date and comprehensive training matrix.
- Instruct supervisors and Training Advisors in effective methods for dealing with employees and training them in their various responsibilities.
What you will bring
- Five years experience operating heavy equipment at open pit mines
- Experience with training development plans
- Strong problem-solving skills & attention to detail
- Cert IV trainer and Assessor TAE 40116; experienced in developing and conducting health & safety training.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Experienced with leadership, supervision, coaching and performance evaluation systems.
- Experienced using MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project), SharePoint and Teams.
- Be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol testing
- Must have the right to work in Australia
- Current National Police Clearance, issued within the last twelve months
