As Training Manager you will oversee the back of house operational and team member training. This role is responsible for the development and progression of the BOH leadership team through SIT and MIT programs, e-learning platforms, on the job training and seminars.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Oversee on-the-job BOH team member training and development, including brand standards, recipe compliance, OH&S, food safety, systems, SOPs & compliance;
- Oversee the training system and goals setting for all BOH stations in all venues, ensuring regular updates to existing modules;
- Support Venue Managers in establishing, developing, and maintaining a rich pipeline of future BOH leaders in each venue to ensure adequate staffing and capability;
- Ensure compliance training is in place in regard to Australian workplace legislation;
- Seek out opportunities to increase BOH effectiveness and efficiency to increase sales and profitability;
- Ensures compliance to local and international Food Safety legislation and procedures, communicates changes to venues as required;
- Conducts Reviews on Training and Food Safety audits at prescribed intervals to maintain quality operations;
- Keep abreast of industry trends, supplier innovation and product development.
- Be trade qualified in Certificate IV Commercial Cookery is essential;
- Possess a Certificate IV or Diploma in Hospitality, Management or business;
- Have practical kitchen management experience in high-volume businesses;
- Strong knowledge of all BOH restaurant operations;
- Be skilled in hands-on training in a fast-paced restaurant environment;
- Have exceptional communication skills and an infectious engaging personality;
- Sound hospitality business management skills including managing food cost, labour and the ability to align training KPl's with business objectives;
- Be a fun and dynamic team player whilst having the audacity to be assertive and manage performance;
- Be available to travel and spend short period's away from home during new venue openings and to deliver ongoing training.
