About Our Facility

South West Alliance of Regional Health services a population of more than 429,000 people, across a land area in southern Victoria of 32,000 square kilometres. We are embarking on the refresh of the Electronic Health Record application that underpins the clinical operations of multiple (11) health sites.

About the Role

With the refresh of our Electronic Health Records application, we are taking the opportunity to review and refine the way our organisation works. Our desire is to take advantage of all that the new technology has to offer, to exploit the capabilities of the application as we will align them with our Clinical Best Practices. We now seek to bring an experienced Business Analyst into our team, one who leverages a foundation in the theoretical, and has solid experience in the real world.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for building and enhancing user and patient journeys, synthesizing organisational processes, building data sets and functional analysis. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Clinical, Functional and Change project teams. They will support and facilitate the project team’s activities with the clinicians within our Clinical Working Groups. This is a front-facing, hands-on role with significant clinician interaction that requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Facilitating discussion and consideration of the application’s standardised processes by clinical working groups and the core project team (no specific product knowledge is required)
  • Facilitating and documenting clinician and patient journeys
  • Identify and document gaps between current processes and applications processes
  • In consultation with broader project team, identify alternatives to address gaps
  • Review and refine detailed data sets and function sets in support of new processes
  • Work with the Change, Clinical and Functional teams to support their requirements
