Based from our Australian Head Office in Toowoomba, Queensland, this role of Transport Administrator will report to the Transport Manager, working a typical Monday to Friday week.
What we are looking for:An experienced administrator with a background in the transport industry would be desirable. This position will assist with Savanna being compliant with the national heavy vehicle laws, including fatigue management and procurement of permits for over-weight and over-dimension loads. We are looking for a self motivated team player with exceptional computer skills and attention to detail.
You will be focusing on:- Liaising with operational staff to ensure all customer requirements are met
- Ensuring that all transport documents are correctly completed, filed and utilised in compliance with any and all regulatory standards for the transportation industry
- Organising and planning permits for oversized loads aligned with schedules and equipment movement needs
- Ensuring vehicles have current registrations and registrations are renewed in accordance with regulations
- Administrative duties
- IT skills– This role is required to use a range of software programs and will require intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Suite of Products.
- A Strong work ethic – At times this role requires substantial concentration and productivity. A genuine care factor for the importance of the work and a drive to complete it in a timely but precise manner is a must.
- Outstanding attention to detail– This role requires someone who can accurately enter all types of transport data into software systems quickly and accurately.
- Permitting – The role will be required to acquire permits in a timely manner for oversized loads on a regular basis. Experience with the permitting process in Queensland is encouraged.
