Transport Coordinator
Location: Hermidale, NSW (87km east of Cobar, 46km west of Nyngan)

Reporting to the Logistics Superintendent (Regional Transport Manager), this role will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Aurizon Logistics Services by providing safe, efficient and customer focused solutions including the management of staff & customers.
About the role:
- Manage processes, systems and procedures related to the effective and efficient use of resources.
- Assist the Logistics Superintendent in managing people related activities e.g., performance management, discipline matters, reward, and recognition.
- Provide advice, coaching and support to employees to assist in achieving performance objectives.
- Coordinate all resources at the relevant terminal to provide a high level of customer service and to meet business requirements.
- Direct and coordinate the allocation, utilisation, and deployment of resources to meet all operational and customer needs.
- Establish and maintain effective and timely working relationships with internal/external clients to ensure requirements/expectations are met
- Coordinate all staff and subcontractor activities as required.
- Ensure Transportation of product in accordance with regulations, including documentation and handling requirements.
- Ensure scheduled maintenance and follow up maintenance of terminal plant and equipment.
- Liaise effectively with other staff to ensure operational efficiency at the terminal and at customer premises as required.
- Liaise and collaborate with other relevant teams to achieve business objectives and optimise resources available.
- Ensure Environmental Management Plans and Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) regulations and standards are maintained.
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in working in a logistics environment.
- Previous line experience in large scale logistics or heavy industrial organisation.
- MC License (Preferred).
- High risk forklift license (Preferred).
- Reach Stacker License (Preferred).
- Substantial organisational skills to effectively coordinate operations.
- Substantial knowledge of statutory requirements and policy guidelines relevant to the operation.
- High level of skill in providing quality customer service.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with diverse work groups.
- High level of interpersonal skills to communicate cross functionally.
- Capacity to understand the people issues and how the issues impact the business.
- Ample computer skills and use of operational systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise business processes.
