QC Comms are leaders in the Telecommunications optical fibre and wireless technology industry with offices located in NSW, QLD, ACT and VIC.
We are currently seeking an experienced and experience Truck Driver to join our operations team based out of Bella Vista.
The role
The role of the Truck Driver is to pick-up and drop-off materials between warehouses and out to work locations across the state. The truck driver will work closely with the Wireless team to deploy telecommunications site materials to radio sites. The driver will also assist the technical team in cleaning up wireless site build locations.
More specifically, you'll be responsible for:
The safe loading and unloading of trucks.
Manual handling.
The safe transportation of goods as required
Communicating with the project team any discrepancies or material supply issues.
Thoroughly inspecting materials for any damage or discrepancies.
Assistance with site cleanup – including cleanup of the site, pickup of waste material, RMA’s etc.
Maintaining an accurate record of all materials received and distributed.
Using forklifts, hand carts, or pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange materials accordingly.
Monthly check of vehicles for WHS compliance.
Ensuring that OH&S Policy requirements are always observed and followed.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is safety conscious, takes pride in their work, is detail-oriented, adept at operating forklifts and able to work overtime when required.
In addition to this, you will need:
A clean driving Licence
Heavy vehicle / Truck licence including Hi-Ab – mandatory.
Forklift licence – mandatory.
Proven experience working in a warehouse environment.
The ability to safely operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
The ability to lift and move heavy objects.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Effective communication skills.
