When it comes to protecting vulnerable children from abuse, Barnardos is dedicated to the prevention of trauma in children, and support families to be the best parents they can be. They help children to recover and thrive through an extensive range of Safety and Prevention programs, and when needed find safe homes for them through foster care and open adoption.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will manage trusts and foundations by coordinating complex funding proposals, researching new opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage annual strategic planning, budget, forecasting and monitor performance
- Develop and submit unique high-quality grant and funding proposals to potential donors
- Identify, develop, and nurture relationships with trusts and foundations and other funding bodies
- Project manage the acquittal of grants ensuring stakeholders are updated on key outcomes
Skills Required
You have experience with grant submissions to trusts and foundations, stewarding key relationships and an awareness of the Australian philanthropic landscape. Additionally, you have implemented income-raising strategies to successfully deliver against revenue targets.
Your experience and skills will also include:
- Capability to translate program logic and activities into compelling grant applications
- Experience researching trusts and foundations or philanthropic donors
- Ability to communicate and effectively influence at all levels
