Bright Minds Tutoring Services is the private tutoring service in the Hills district and surrounding areas for 1-on-1 in-home and online tutoring for pre-k to year 6. Our mission is to help students realise their potential by offering personalised learning that equips children with skills and tools to become thriving, confident learners, achieving their academic best.
Who we are looking for:
- We are looking for an experienced preschool/primary school tutor/teacher to cover several tutoring sessions in term 4 and potentially stay on staff thereafter
- Must be able to teach and tutor English, Maths (K-Y6) and School Readiness
Shifts (flexible hours):
- Monday: School Readiness (45 min) + Year 1 Maths Extension (45 min) + Year 3 English (60 minutes)
- Wednesday: Year 2 Maths (45 min) + Year 4 English (45 min)
- Thursday: Year 4 English + Maths Extension (90 min)
Responsibilities
- Develop, create and prepare personalised tutoring plans and sessions based on the student’s learning style, needs and goals.
- Discuss progress with parents/students
- Provide a short lesson report after each tutoring session
- Seek help from our team if needed or required

Licence/Certification:
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education, Primary, Secondary); Teaching OR Education Undergraduate
- 1 year of teaching/tutoring experience (preferred)
- Must have a valid Working with Children Check
- Driver’s license
Essential Requirements:
- Must have excellent knowledge of the Australian / NSW School Curriculum
- Must have a passion for helping others and making a difference in your student’s life
- Must have a love for teaching and tutoring and an encouraging, positive attitude and approach.
- Excellent communication skills, reliable and punctual
- Must have a car and be prepared to travel to students’ homes for tutoring sessions
- Must be willing to work on a contractor basis, ABN required.
