AddressTutor Assistant Role
Core Skills Tutoring is a local business that aims to help students regain control of their learning. We teach our students the Core Skills they need to succeed in all subjects as well as providing subject-specific support. We all see the world in a different way, and this is reflected in how we learn – Core Skills Tutoring strives to provide customised learning support to each student that helps them translate the world of academia into their own personal learning language.
We are looking for a tutor assistant to help us deliver top-tier service to our clients. This role would suit someone who has a friendly disposition, self-motivated and an enthusiasm for supporting students to achieve their potential.
Job Description
- Build relationships with parents and students to allow for personalised service.
- Support the tutor in sessions of up to five students and other colleagues as necessary.
- Facilitate small-group learning activities with students of all ages.
- Support students to develop their emotion-regulation strategies and appropriately respond to and manage students’ behaviour.
- Uphold our policies, procedures and processes.
Role Requirements
- Blue Card.
- High level of computer proficiency with excellent knowledge of MS Office and Google Drive.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of Maths and English.
- Minimum Year 12 QCE Qualifications.
- Patience, creativity and empathy.
- Enthusiastic approach to learning.
