About the Role
Caval Ridge Mine currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Tyre Maintenance Supervisor to join the maintenance team on a 7 on, 7 off day night FIFO/DIDO roster. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation, planning, leadership and support of our team of Tyre Fitters across light vehicles to Heavy Mining Equipment.
Demonstrating a strong focus on safety, your primary duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing and coaching your team. Lead by example, support a diverse and inclusive team with a collaborative culture.
Manage a team of experienced and trainee tyre fitters, providing support, mentoring, and coaching to the Maintenance Tyre team
Apply a continuous improvement approach to develop processes and ensure quality and efficiency in our operations.
Maintain budget and safety performance whilst ensuring targets are met
Providing safe, effective, and timely outcomes
Lead by example, promote and take the lead supporting and encouraging a diverse team of operators to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment ensuring a safety first approach.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following:
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, ability to foster positive working relationships and be adaptable to various communication styles.
Have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, lead and facilitate cooperation with production personnel.
Proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment.
Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP and similar systems and databases.
Experience working in Leadership roles, with strong people management skills.
Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology – OTR.
Demonstrated experience within a leadership role in Maintenance with a proven commitment to safety.
Strong understanding of maintenance strategies for large scale operations
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
