We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Tech Officer Avionics to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team.

About you:

Due to the nature of this role, along with being self-motivated and outcomes focussed, you will have strong analytical skills and also ideally hold a Cert IV or above in a relevant discipline (Aeroskills - Avionics) from a recognised institution.

To be successful in this role you will also have:

  • CAMM2 experience
  • Strong computer literacy with an ability to produce, analyse, and interpret complex reports and information
  • Well Developed skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications
  • Significant experience in aviation maintenance
  • Experience in a Defence System Program Office environment is also highly desirable.

Your responsibilities will include:

As the Tech Officer Avionics, you will plan, coordinate, direct and/or performs engineering assignments involving specifications for, and design changes or alterations to, aircraft, engines, systems, components, and field or shop equipment; as well as investigating and analysing project requirements and operating problems and developing recommended solutions to meet company governmental safety and performance standards.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Undertake and review Technical Information and processing TIR in Emerald2
  • Perform and investigate Occurrence Reports in collaboration with EMU
  • Perform conversion of US Army safety messages and OEM service bulletins into ADF format that is compatible with CAMM2 (i.e. STI)
  • Undertake and solicit technical advice from OEMs and US Army
  • Analyse and Investigate Defect Reports, manage Condition Monitoring
  • Analyse and review externally-approved repairs and conversion of repair instructions into ADF format that is compatible with CAMM2 (i.e. Deviation Letter)
  • Contribute to and collaborate with MRD Practitioners on changes to scheduled maintenance requirements, the aircraft build structure and ACRN set
  • Contribute to and collaborate with logistics team on alternative sources of supply for certain items
  • Assist Design Engineers with Supplies Acceptance of externally approved designs
  • Provide advice on changes to GSE and S&TE and assistance with ALSE, Role Equipment and PED clearances
