Hays is working with this leading Department to source a dual skill set role UI Design + Front End Developer.

You'll be working for a Federal Government Department which aims to support growth for Australian's community, industries, and international presence!
Your new role
You'll be responsible for driving human-centric approach to servicing and delivering an effective digital services for both business and public oriented customers. You'll be working across both skill sets of UI Designer and Front-End Developer to deliver intuitive, fit for purpose interfaces through lean design. You'd do this by conducting and producing user flows, high-fidelity interfaces, rapid prototyping, testing, and implementing solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role you'll need:
Demonstrated experience designing UI, working to an existing style guide and designing systems using HTML, CSS, and Javascript framework such as ReactJS, and/or Angular
Recent prototyping experience, using tools such as Adobe XD, Axure or Figma
Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams, translating findings from usability testing into actionable solutions and improvements to a user interface.
Experience working to Accessibility requirements - Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA as a minimum. Ensuring all work is produced and kept in alignment with these guidelines.
