The Opportunity
Ulan Underground has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Trade Mineworker to join the Production and Engineering team. Reporting to the crew supervisor (Deputy) and Shift Trade supervisor, you will be an integral crewmember driving performance through efficient maintenance processes.
About you
As the Mechanical Trade Mineworker at Ulan Underground Mine, you will demonstrate technical proficiency through effective maintenance and fault-finding work on mechanical systems and equipment. You will have exceptional teamwork skills, complimented by a positive attitude and a safety-focus at work.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Safely and effectively operate and maintain machinery to a standard and quality required to meet target outputs
- Strong record of attendance with active and willing participation in training and development
- Identify and communicate risks associated with health and safety as well as environmental impacts
- Motivated and positive attitude to work and contribution to team results
- Present yourself fit for work, communicate with your supervisor any issues.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate has the following skills and experiences:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Sound understanding of risk management process and safe work procedures
- Exceptional teamwork skills
- Previous experience working underground (preferably coal)
