The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified Mining Engineer to join the Mining Operations Team. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent the successful candidate for this role will be working for a team that are committed to a high level of safety culture and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
Timely preparation and production of a 7/14 Schedule involving development, production, services, backfilling and maintenance activities which align to the 13-week plan;
Preparation of blast “Prep” and charge plans;
Daily, weekly and monthly production reporting;
Undertake project work for operations as required – supervise and manage;
Underground inspections and ventilation surveys;
Liaising closely with all operational and technical teams to ensure compliance is maintained with the plan (short and medium) and the operation delivers the budgeted mining physicals.
About You
Enthusiastic and dynamic individual who thrives on being challenged and meets the following criteria.
Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering;
A minimum of 4 years “Underground Experience” in a similar role;
Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills;
Advanced software skills – exposure to Deswik well regarded;
A strong safety ethic and the ability to positively promote safety.
