With a focus on growth and expansion of distribution, Allianz is seeking an Underwriting Operations Manager, Farm to join the Commercial division. This role will report into the Head of Farm Underwriting where you will lead and manage one of two regional underwriting teams to ensure professional service standards are provided to internal and external customers, as well as implementing operational action plans to deliver quality service.
You'll be responsible for:
Managing the local underwriting team and contributing to the design of new systems, processes, and procedures with a view of delivering market leading underwriting and service.
Being a key point of contact for assigned broker group, market facing where appropriate, and championing the relationship between team members and customers (internal and external) to ensure better customer outcomes and a consistent commercial mindset.
Delivering Financial goals as set out in Plan that meet both GWP and profit objectives.
Operating in a planning rhythm for pipeline and renewal opportunities with Distribution and market facing underwriters to maximise conversion and retention rates.
Collaborating with the other Underwriting Operations Manager to manage workflow processes across the broader Farm Underwriting team to ensure market leading customer service is delivered to achieve positive net promoter score (NPS) results.
Facilitating an inclusive and collaborative environment with all Commercial initiatives and programs to further build on Allianz People Attributes and to ensure diverse thinking/best outcomes.
Monitoring productivity/service standards reporting across renewals, new business referrals, endorsements, and loss control key metrics, and implementing action plans.
Proactively exploring opportunities to introduce and embed environmental, social and governance actions into the Farm customer base.
Supporting incident management through diagnosis, solution generation and remediation initiatives including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), communications and stakeholder management.
Important to your success:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and industry accreditations, where necessary.
Extensive experience in an operational underwriting role in a general insurance organisation.
Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation.
Enthusiasm and ability to optimise business value to customers by delivering high quality services and positive customer experiences to sustain and enhance the customer base.
Proven deep analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
High attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and have the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact and influence.
