Code Black Coffee is on the hunt for an epic Venue Manager + an exceptional Cafe Supervisor to lead our teams!
Code Black Coffee is seeking a Venue Manager to manage our fantastic, vibrant, and professional FOH team at our bustling South Melbourne cafe.
We are also searching for a strong and bubbly Café Supervisor to assist our wonderful Venue Manager in inspiring and leading our incredible team at our Brunswick HQ.

We are looking for someone with minimum 2 years solid management experience, some specialty coffee knowledge, the desire to inspire and lead a team (not just be a boss) and who has a genuine passion for providing outstanding service to our great customers.
An epic Venue Manager will have the organisational skills to ensure the smooth running of daily operations in the venue, the dedication to drive profitability and achieve objectives and goals, and the personality to create a vibe that attracts customers to keep coming back again and again.
An extraordinary Café Supervisor will have a strong work ethic and will provide ongoing support to the Venue Manager; as well as motivating the FOH team and taking the lead when required.

The ideal candidate will be able to motivate and lead our team and will need to be able to:
Act as constant role model for our team and showcase your professional industry skills in a friendly and genuine manner
Ensure the daily service is run to a high standard consistently and efficiently
Manage stock control and inventory
Manage staffing and wage costs (prepare rosters, assign specific duties)
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Manage staff performance, provide constructive feedback as required, identify weaknesses, and provide training as appropriate
Identify and determine areas for cost reduction and improvement
Encourage a supportive, positive, and fun workplace for all employees
Inspire team members with a lead-by-example approach with a positive and energetic attitude
Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of both Food Safety and OH&S requirements
Develop new and exciting beverage offerings
Work collaboratively with other personnel within the business and assist in recruitment for new front-of-house employees
Serve alcohol (RSA required)
