Vf Line 3 Night Shift

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in one of Australia's most iconic businesses to join our largest Arnott’s site in Virginia where we manufacture sweet and savoury biscuits such as Shapes, Jatz, Cheds, Cruskits, Premier Choc Chip, Butternut Snap, Choc Ripple and our traditional lines such as Shortbread Cream, Monte Carlo, Orange Slice and Kingston! This is a perfect role for someone who thrives on challenges and enjoys a fast paced enviroment

As the Machine Operator your responsibilities will include:

• Ability to adjust line and equipment settings via touch screens as required and within specifications;
• Understand the importance of quality checks and carry these out as required;
• Monitor product standards, identify and escalate any issues;
• Exposure to product change over’s and shut down procedures;
• Manual handling when required
• Participate in maintenance, continuous improvement (CI) and team meetings;
• Undertake housekeeping and cleaning responsibilities.

What ingredients do you need to be successful?

• Previous machine operating experience in FMCG industry
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a proven ability to troubleshoot on machinery
• Understanding of team, safety, and quality operating principles
• Knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles an advantage
• Effective communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and strong performance and attendance history
• Attention to detail and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to night shift 
• Manual handling up to 20kg 
• Candidates will be required to undergo a medical and drug & alcohol screen as part of our recruitment process.
