Eurofins Environment Testing Australia New Zealand is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 200 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch, with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater.
Job Description
Due to strong internal growth, the position of Victorian AIR Group Officer within our Melbourne Stack Sampling Division is expanding, and we are seeking candidates for this exciting opportunity.
The 'AIR Group Officer' is responsible for assisting and learning all aspects of stack emission testing to provide our NATA accredited sampling services to a wide variety of industrial clients. In addition, the role may also encompass report preparation, assistance with maintenance and calibration of sampling equipment as well as demonstrate a willingness to embrace new skills sets. Our Officers get hands-on experience collecting data while spending most of their time outdoors.
About you:
To be successful for the position, you will ideally possess the following:
- Previous experience and/or knowledge of stack sampling - advantageous
- Good communication & time management skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
- An understanding and appreciation for Health & Safety protocols.
- Confident and comfortable in the outdoors.
- Established skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work in industrial settings, including climbing to and working on elevated platforms.
- Strong initiative with the ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility with regional/interstate work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Current Drivers Licence
Relevant industry experience in air quality is advantageous.
