Video Producer and Editor

12 month contract

Your business and team:

Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) helps drive CBA’s brand and reputation, working closely with the business to deliver insight and creativity to engage our customers, people, communities, and broader stakeholders.

Creative Services is the in-house creative agency for MCA.

We drive creative excellence, specialist production capability, cost efficiency, speed to market, and supplier governance for MCA.

We work closely with the business to create compelling stories, effective campaigns and impactful creative to build connection with CommBank’s brand.

This role reports to the Senior Manager, Creative Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the teams across Marketing and Corporate Affairs, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging written, video, audio and digital content that connects, informs and inspires our audience and meets the communications objectives of the production brief.

  • In this role you will have multifunctional responsibilities, such as, initiating, coordinating, supervising, and managing all elements of multimedia production from concept through to completion. This includes generating story ideas, planning, storyboarding, scripting, budgeting, logistics, crew resourcing, interviewing, editing and managing approvals to deliver high quality media assets.

  • Edit video and audio projects, including importing media, organising raw media, editing footage and audio projects from draft through to final concept. This will include creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voiceover/sfx, media management and archiving media projects.

  • You will conduct interviews with a wide range of talent inside and outside the organisation. As part of this you will need to research and prepare for each interview to get the finest performance.

  • You will bring passion, commitment, creativity and imagination to all projects to deliver exciting, engaging and appealing content to drive engagement and results.

  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximise efficiency.

  • Manage all aspects of production in accordance with the bank's brand and risk guidelines, particularly engagement of freelancers and preferred suppliers.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Solid experience with pre-production and planning, studio and field production, scriptwriting, and storyboarding.

  • Strong post-production skills and experience with editing software packages (Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere), audio mixing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple platforms.

  • Flawless writing and communication, with a knack of communicating with impact.

  • Strong knowledge of the creative development and production process.

  • Storytelling skills with ability to translate into compelling script and visual images.

  • Outstanding interviewing skills to ensure talent exudes confidence, control, and credibility during filming.

  • Calm under pressure and comfortable with a fast-paced work environment to manage multiple projects at once.

  • A proven ability to build relationships and relate to multiple stakeholders to drive results and influence.

  • Time management and planning skills are essential to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.

  • Creative mind, meticulous planning, and strong storytelling skills to create and deliver successful digital content.

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in content production and editing.

  • A bachelor’s degree in film, media, management, production, or a related field, is preferred.
