THE ROLE

The Commercial Portfolio Manager is responsible for the development, management, and growth of the Homes Victoria commercial and non-service delivery property portfolio across the State. This new senior role will lead the strategic direction of our commercial property portfolio, including opportunity identification, development and delivery.

Opportunities include telecommunications infrastructure, out-of-home advertising, retail/office, car parking and other non-housing asset types. Reporting to the Portfolio and Leasing Manager, this senior role is afforded the opportunity to think innovatively on opportunities to deliver new recurrent revenue streams to Homes Victoria, leading stakeholder engagement, business development, and strategic oversight of the commercial portfolio.

ARE YOU:
  • An experienced property professional in managing a diverse commercial property portfolio within the public, private or not-for-profit sectors?
  • An innovator who can identify commercial opportunities, develop project plans for implementation and engage with key stakeholders to deliver on recurrent revenue opportunities?
  • A leader and a collaborator with good understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act, Retail Leases Act, Victorian Government Land Policies, and the role of the Valuer General's Office?
  • A good communicator with stakeholder management experience and an understanding of commercial lease management?
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
  • Lead the strategic development, growth and management of a commercial and specialist portfolio of properties/agreements designed to leverage of Homes Victoria's extensive asset base across the State, including opportunity identification, development and implementation.
  • Develop and implement business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provide advice to the broader organisation and executives on commercial property matters.
  • Deliver sound, expert commercial property management solutions to senior management on matters including portfolio strategies, commercial opportunities, and cashflow ensuring value for money
