AddressOur client is a well known logistics company that provides integrated supply chain solutions including warehousing and distribution as well as global forwarding.
They are now looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor in Melbourne. A motivated individual willing to work in a fast-paced environment, to take care of the warehouse operations and be the main support for the Warehouse Manager.
The Position
A full term position for a warehouse Supervisor with demonstrated abilities to perform a hybrid role :operative and administrative. Your responsibilities will be as per below but not limited to:
- Working alongside the Warehouse Mgr and providing support in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
- Supervising the inbound Wharf Cartage and Warehouse function for Moorabbin Airport Site
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives in the Logistics function
- Providing support in administrative duties such as running reports, data entry and others.
- Leading warehouse staff members and delivering training sessions.
- Coordinating the maintenance of the facility and promoting safe work practices
As an ideal Candidate you may have
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar warehouse role
- Demonstrated experience in people management
- Experience with warehouse management systems. Cargo wise is highly desirable.
