About the Role: Join us as a SideLoader Driver/Operator at Ivanhoe Council! Your primary role is to ensure efficient waste collection services within our municipality.
Responsibilities:
Collect household garbage/recycling/organics, commercial waste, parks waste, and bundle branch collection.
Clear garbage/recycling/organics from mobile garbage bins put out for emptying by residents.
Reduce the impact of collection activities on the environment by recovering spilled waste and containing oil or fuel spills.
Assist with Mobile Garbage Bin repairs when required.
Carry out regular routine maintenance on the truck.
Assist with any task undertaken by the Waste Management unit as directed by Supervisor.
Adhere to all safe working procedures and Council's OH&S and risk policies.
Take reasonable care of themselves and others affected by their actions.
Assist council in maintaining and improving its services by performing all work in accordance with procedures.
Perform tasks as required by the Waste Management unit.
Skills Required:
Experience operating Side Loader waste collection vehicles.
Experience in household garbage/recycling/organics, commercial parks waste, dump rubbish, and hard waste collection.
Must be able to obtain an updated Police Check.
