Reporting to Tailings and Water Infrastructure Manager, this is your opportunity to be part of the GCAA Environment and Community team supporting sites and projects associated with Glencore's Australian Coal business.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing direction and support to operations in developing annual water management plans
- Offering technical expertise for surface and groundwater management
- Assisting project teams in the scoping and reviewing surface and groundwater for project approvals.
- Maintaining water reporting and licensing, completing water components of compliance audits
- Participating in legislative and policy review, providing technical support for surface water and groundwater-related disciplines.
We seek individuals with a high level of technical excellence and self-motivation. Ongoing training and professional development will be provided to ensure the maintenance of this technical excellence.
You will possess effective leadership and communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision. Based in the Glencore Brisbane office, regular travel to our QLD and NSW mine sites will be required as a part of the role.
