The Role
Reporting to the Process Engineer - Water, the purpose of this role is to coordinate the day to day operation of the water and waste water processes.
Other core responsibilities of the role include:
- Support the Environmental Team in the achievement of the environmental management system procedures.
- Maintain effective communication within environmental team on daily operations
- Embrace change to improve the smooth operation and ongoing optimisation of water and waste water systems, to meet operating legislative and licence requirements and internal Key Performance Indictors.
- Maintaining safe, clean environment of all water and waste handling areas to meet GMP, safety, audit and legal/licence requirements creating a pleasant place to work.
- Coaching and mentoring trade / waste water operators.
About You!
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Certificate III in Water Operations/Water Treatment and/or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience operating various water treatment equipment/processes (e.g. aeration, screw press, clarifier, MBR, UF, RO)
- Leadership experience ideal
- Ability to coordinate operational tasks and manage multiple activities
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in computer use
- Physically strong/fit for duty (role is combination of leadership and hands-on/physical tasks)
- Can predominantly work day shift, with some variation of work hours to collaborate with afternoon/night shift operators
