Waterproofing Assurance is a specialist consultant that provides design compliance consultation and onsite quality control services for construction waterproofing in residential, commercial and infrastructure projects to clients in NSW, VIC and QLD. 

We are a growing, ambitious and in-demand team working with leading architects, engineers and builders to ensure project waterproofing systems achieve compliance and quality requirements.

Waterproofing Design Coordinator 

Assisting the Principal Consultant, you will apply and develop your knowledge and experience in design and/or construction to provide our clients with advice, assessments and reports on a range of waterproofing related design, compliance, material and construction scenarios. Communicating with architects/designers, developers, builders and subcontractors to provide a combination of on-site and off-site services, you will ensure that waterproofing works are designed and executed in compliance with NCC, Australian Standards and best practice requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, evaluate and develop reports for design and material selection compliance.
• Attend and contribute to workshop meetings for construction projects during both design and construction phases.
• Assist in preparation of Performance Solutions, Performance Based Design Briefs, Design Compliance Reports and other compliance documentation as required.
• Prepare, revise and markup designs and section details in Blue Beam, AutoCAD or similar.
• Provide verbal and written advice on waterproofing compliance with Australian Standards, National Construction Code and best practice guidelines.
• Conduct analysis, as proposed by the performance-based design brief.
• Regular interaction with clients primary based in Sydney but also in Canberra, Wollongong and Newcastle, as well as in Victoria and Queensland.
• Work as part of a professional team committed to excellence and collaboration in a self-disciplined/self-managed manner
• Ensure accuracy in file management and record keeping.
• Assist Principal Consultant with other tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Waterproofing industry experience an advantage
• Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Building Design, Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting or similar.
• Experience and confident use of Bluebeam, AutoCAD or similar software to prepare architectural drawings.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel and comfortable using organisation management software. While you will have the support of other staff during routine work, you will be expected to work independently to produce various documents as needed.
