About us
The Mulberry Group is a Melbourne-based hospitality group founded in 2011 by Nathan Toleman. Since then The Mulberry Group has opened and operated several unique stand-alone venues including Top Paddock, The Kettle Black, and Higher Ground. These venues have come to epitomise the Melbourne café scene, pioneering and setting the standard for innovation, design, food and commitment to sustainability.
Today, our venues include Hazel, Dessous, Liminal, Lilac Wine, Heide Kitchen, Square One Coffee Roasters and our regenerative agricultural farm and social enterprise, Common Ground Project. Across our venues we now have a team of over 170 amazing people, and counting.

About the role
As a cook reporting to head chef, you will be responsible for:
- Following recipes created by the Head Chef
- Maintaining a clean workspace at all times
- Adhering to kitchen hygiene & safety standards
- Using correct cooking techniques & methods
- Presenting & garnishing dishes according to recipe
About you
We are looking for someone with:
- Availability to work on both Saturdays and Sundays
- A genuine passion for food & hospitality
- Knowledge of various cooking methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced cafe environment
- A warm & friendly attitude
- Ability to multi-task & prioritise
- Great communication skills
