Welding Inspector

ARL is currently looking for a Welding Inspector / NDT technician.

Main Tasks:

 Execute the field welding inspection, surveillance, and Quality Control activities on site.

 Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site as per quality plan and ITPs.

 Ensure that welding operations task are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes and Standards and Subsidiaries procedures Quality Control Plans/Inspection Test Plans.

 To prepare and review welding procedure specifications (WPS) and carry out performance qualification testing of welders.

 Perform and assist for thickness testing, dye-penetrant testing magnetic particle testing, provide assistance in performing radiography testing.

 Compile quality assurance records and ensure qualification records are maintained and managed.

 Ensure safe work practices by following site safety rules & procedure all the time.

 Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.

Requirements:

 Must have over 3 years of related work experience. Relevant Oil and Gas industry experience is preferred.

 Diploma in Welding (preferred) or Materials/Metallurgical/Mechanical.  Must have TWI-CSWIP or AWS-CWI certification.

 Qualification in UT, MT, PT AINDT/ASNT/PCN or SNT-TC-1A level 1 or 2.

 Sound understanding of relevant parts of AS 1554, AWS D1.1, ASME Section VIII, ASME B31.3 and other construction codes and standards.

 Experience in writing technical QA/QC reports.

 Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) will be an advantage.

 Sound communication skills.

Salary: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
