AddressAPG Workforce have partnered with our client Baiada, leaders in the manufacturing of quality poultry products based in the beautiful Riverina City of Griffith NSW, and are currently seeking WHS Officers.
1 of these positions will cover and work across the plants day shift and the other will work across the plants afternoon shift.
The Role:
- The primary responsibility of a WHS Officer is to support and assist in maintaining safe work systems.
- Full Training will be provided for both shifts, however the afternoon shift role will commence on DAY SHIFT with the transition to afternoon shifts once competent in the role.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Background in Poultry Processing/Food Manufacturing (desirable, but not essential)
- A strong work ethic and ability to communicate and collaborate with others
- Ability to observe, assess, and report on the safety performance of a workplace, and assist with developing procedures to meet the company’s safety systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficient in the use of computers and related technology such as Microsoft Office and software programs.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to make tight deadlines
- Keen observation skills to monitor the safety performance of a workplace and identify risks or hazards
- Basic knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
- Qualifications or experience in WHS are desirable but not essential
- Current and valid Driver’s License
- Legally entitles to work in Australia
- Ability to take initiative, problem solve and resolve conflict
