About the Position:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified safety professional to join the Shire of Broome in the role of Work Health, Safety and Wellbeing Officer.
The Work Health, Safety and Wellbeing Officer will be responsible for coordinating and administrating key work health, safety and wellbeing initiatives across the Shire to achieve a positive culture of safety. This includes managing continuous improvement and monitoring of WHS and Wellbeing systems that underpin all activities, programs and initiatives across the Shire.

About You:
Our ideal candidate will have
- Tertiary qualifications (minimum Cert IV) in Work Health and Safety, or a related field (applicants who are in progression toward tertiary qualifications may be considered at Level 4 until successful completion).
- Minimum three years' work experience in a similar/related role.
- Ability to understand and interpret legislation, with highly developed verbal and written communication skills to communicate across all levels of the organisation regarding safety initiatives and improvements.
