And that’s who our client is looking to speak with.
 
So what’s happening here?
 
A longstanding client has an urgent requirement for up to 4 people to move into a customer service and inbound sales position. They’ve identified the hospitality sector- bartenders, waiters, guest services (and even glassies!) as an untapped talent pool for their team.
 
So what’s the business?
 
They are an international travel insurer that employs over 5000 people globally. Yes people, domestic and international travel has finally returned to pre pandemic levels for us Aussies and if you want to head off overseas, you'll be needing that all important travel insurance policy. From an industry obviously rocked by the pandemic, they are now full steam ahead again ready to grow again in 2024 in an extremely exciting time for the business. 
 
And what’s the actual job?
 
People who want to travel will pick up the phone and ring this business. Your job is to answer these inbound calls, talk to people about their upcoming travel, understand the best insurance option for them and walk them through a quote. 50% of people will purchase the cover from you on the spot.
 
Money/Hours/Location
 
The salary for the role is $55,000 + superannuation. There are bonus commissions as well, which on hitting your targets will see you receive another $1k- $3k a month.
 
This is a full time, permanent position with Monday to Friday hours 9am-5pm. *Please note you must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident of Australia to be be considered for this position. 
 
This is an office based role where you will be working every day alongside a team. The business is based in Pyrmont near public transport. Once you are fully up to speed the option to work from home a couple of days a week is there as well. 
 
Why do people from hospitality work well in this role?
 
The customer service skills and the energy required to deal with people are very transferrable to this role. With the training provided, this business has a strong track record of helping hospo people break into their first corporate job. Of course your ability to navigate through a process using a computer system will be required as well.
