A leading private aged care provider, they have been providing a wide range of flexible and responsive aged care across Victoria for over 30 years. This role is currently based in Hawthorn, with ample parking available and will be relocating to Richmond, which is accessible via public transport.
About the role
The role is a permanent part time opportunity, offering the ultimate part time arrangement - 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).
This position is managing and working closely with Administration Support Coordinators, Return to work coordinators and the Payroll team to ensure all compensation is paid accurately within set timeframes and in accordance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collating pay advice from relevant Residences and stakeholders to calculate initial weekly earnings
Working with Payroll & Return to work coordinator weekly to process workers compensation payments in payroll system
Process Pay Queries received weekly
Advanced Excel analysis is essential for calculating compensation payments accurately
Understand and ensure the business meets its legal obligations with regards to regulatory requirements, timeframes, and outcomes for claimants under Workers' Compensation.
Ad hoc reporting, sites work cover query remediation and other duties as required from both the teams
Educate relevant stakeholders on the Payroll/Workers Compensation payment processes where required
Skills & experience
Knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act
Ability to process gaps in Workcover/payroll processes
Extensive experience in a worker compensation and payroll role
Previous experience in Worker compensation
Ability to multi-task
Excellent communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines
