To make a sustainable future possible together, the 1,700 people in the Cleanaway Industrial and Waste Services (IWS) business unit, deliver quality and valued services through innovative and sustainable industrial solutions.  These solutions are delivered as projects, shutdowns, and critical maintenance services for customers in the Mining, Oil & Gas, and Infrastructure sectors. We have an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Training and Capability Business Partner to join our team based at our Wingfield Branch in Adelaide.

The role

This newly created role is to manage the ongoing development & capacity of the IWS workforce capability, in order to meet the changing needs of the business. Working with senior business leaders, internal trainers & external partners to attract & develop great people, ensure they are trained to a high standard & lift them up through the business into fulfilling careers.

Reporting to the Training and Capability Manager your main responsibilities to be successful in this role are:

  • Able to develop content, standards & processes for application of Training & verification of competency, including Recognition of Prior Learning, in order to optimise the management of the capability & capacity of the IWS operator workforce
  • Experience in delivering coaching, Training & learning to trainers & a blue-collar workforce
  • Delivery of Verification of Competency assessment to set standards
  • Demonstrated experience developing skills matrices
  • Experience developing curriculum & training materials & facilitating training courses
  • Intermediate project management & team leadership skills, strong judgment skills, business acumen & a high level of professionalism
  • Tracking industry trends, incidents & best-practices to improve performance standards
  • Ensure accurate & timely reporting through the nominated safety system, MyOSH.
  • Convening & chairing Employee Focus Groups in relation to governance, development & capture of the best-practice knowledge base for Cleanaway for core service competency requirements
  • Conducting & supporting internal & external audits in nationally accredited training, compliance, customer & Health & Safety management standard audits

About you

It is expected that you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Cert IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
  • C class / HR / or above vehicle license
  • Nationally accredited qualifications for relevant high risk industrial services
  • Knowledge of MyOSH – Safety Management software
  • Highly competent in the application of all of the following equipment: Heavy Vac, Combo, CCTV · High Pressure Level 3
