Job Summary
As the Morning Shift Workplace Health & Safety Coordinator you will provide guidance & support to the Processing Centre Team to embed a robust Safety Management Culture.
This position will also be responsible for the facilitation of risk assessments with key internal stakeholders, developing Safe Work Method Statement and assist in coordination of WHS committee.
You will walk the talk, be courageous in your approach, engage at all levels of the Processing Centre team to embed a Safety Culture based around putting our Associates & physical & psychological safety as our priority.
Key Responsibilities
- Put our Associates Safety and their right to return home everyday front & center of every engagement, decision & interaction
- Embed the PC Workplace Health and Safety Culture through the Safe at Work – Safe at Home Program
- Manage all aspects of the PC Risk Management Program, including the Critical Risk Program
- Working closely with our Morning Shift Team by advising and coaching PC Management / Operations / HR Teams in the interpretation and application of Workplace Health & Safety legislation
- Deploy the TJX Safety Management System
- Support the identification of training and development initiatives to meet specific business needs
- Contribute to the development, implementation and completion of Workplace Health & Safety audit programs
- Support Processing Centre Operational Management to Investigate all incidents (including ICAM level investigations) and recommend appropriate corrective action as required
Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience within a warehouse / manufacturing / high-risk environment
- Tertiary qualified (Degree / Certificate IV Workplace Health & Safety)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Evolved relationship & influencing skills.
