Porter Plant, a market leader and recognised name in equipment maintenance management and dry hiring of plant, equipment and light commercial vehicles, currently have a vacancy for a qualified and experienced Workshop Manager based in Cambrian Hill. This exciting opportunity would be well suited to an experienced, self-driven and proactive leader who enjoys developing and leading a team in a professional and dynamic workshop environment.
Your day will include the following;
- Coordinate and schedule all immediate and forecasted workshop activities to clearly defined KPIs, ensuring requirements are met or exceeded at all times
- Manage workshop staff including rostering, leave requests, staff training and development and provide expert advice and development to the team
- Ensure all safety requirements are adhered to, lead daily pre-start meetings, maintaining a safe and presentable workshop at all times
- Work closely and effectively with the sales team, suppliers, management, contractors and others to ensure all scheduling and communication is accurate, up to date and deliverable
To succeed in this position you will have;
- Mechanical trade certificate with broad ranging heavy mechanical equipment experience
- Current Car, Truck (HR) and Forklift (LF) license
- Demonstrated experience leading and motivating a similar high-performance Workshop team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Exceptional planning, organizing and scheduling experience
- Proactive, positive and self-driven approach
