The role
As the Workshop Supervisor, you'll be reporting directly to the operations manager on site. Heading up a crew of roughly 30 trades throughout a variety of divisions. In this hands-on supervisory role, you'll be responsible for:
- Mechanical maintenance on a variety of underground and surface mining machinery.
- Leading by example both on and off the tools, encouraging team work, collaboration, and crew culture whilst providing effective supervision and leadership.
- 50% on the tools/ mentoring & 50% office focused
- Supporting with shutdown projects across NSW underground mine sites (where needed)
Your skills & experience
You will come from a background working on heavy vehicle/ mobile plant maintenance with at least 2+ years' experience in a senior role running a team. You will enjoy being hands on and working closely with the team (around 50% of your time on the tools, mentoring, training and working on technical projects).
- Cert III Mobile Plant (desirable)
- Heavy diesel trade qualification (essential)
- Mining/ heavy civil mobile plant experience
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics and electrics
- Excellent communication skills and leadership traits
