Position Overview:
As a crucial member of our team, the Yardsman will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our company by taking charge of the maintenance, cleanliness, and organization of our tools, equipment, trucks, and warehouse. This individual will be responsible for servicing, cleaning, and maintaining all tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal condition for deployment to various job sites. In addition, the Yardsman will undertake the upkeep of our fleet by washing and servicing trucks regularly, contributing to their longevity and efficient functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine servicing and inspections on a wide range of tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use at all times.

Cleaning: Implement thorough cleaning processes for tools and equipment, maintaining a high standard of hygiene.

Truck Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks on company trucks, such as oil changes, filter changes, and overall inspections. Ensure that all vehicles are clean and in optimal condition for use.

Truck Washing: Responsible for the exterior and interior cleanliness of company trucks, ensuring a professional and presentable appearance.

Warehouse Organisation: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space by systematically sorting and arranging equipment, tools, and other items. Safely store and label items to facilitate easy retrieval.

Inventory Management: Keep track of equipment inventory, report shortages or damages, and coordinate with relevant departments to replenish supplies as needed.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling tools, equipment, and maintaining the warehouse. Report any safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in a similar industry or hire company.
Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance for trucks.
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
Understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various departments.
