The NSW SES has an exciting opportunity for a training professional looking to utilise and expand their skills and knowledge whilst working with a team of dedicated staff and volunteers.
You will utilise your skills to co-ordinate the development and implementation of training plans, building capability and capacity within a dynamic and essential emergency service agency.
The purpose of the role is to support delivery of NSW SES training and exercises within and across NSW SES that enables the successful and sustainable implementation of the State-Wide Training and Exercise Plan.

NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community. We are a volunteer-based organisation that provides emergency assistance to the people of NSW 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. It is the approximately 9,000 volunteers across the state that make this possible.
As the NSW combat agency responsible for flood, storm and tsunamis. The NSW SES also provides a key rescue function, including being the key provider of general rescue efforts in the rural parts of the state, this includes road accident rescue, vertical rescue, bush search and rescue, Urban Search and Rescue and Community First Response.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience in coaching/mentoring/developing Trainers & Assessors
- Superior communication skills with an ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Proven ability to develop and execute a training plan, on time within budget
- The ability to facilitate experience – face to face, virtual, individual and group training and/or assessment
- Proficient computer skills including the use of (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and administration of Learning Management Systems
- TAE40116 Certificate IV Training & Assessment
