The Opportunity
Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Operator who is self-motivated and willing to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. We need an operator who is multiskilled, responsive and technically minded with an ability to problem-solve. The candidates who have treatment operation experience, diagnostic skills, and mechanical ability, including knowledge of the operation and maintenance of pumps will do well in this role.
To be successful, you will demonstrate personal attributes that are consistent with Councils values of Integrity, People Focused, Excellence and Sustainability and you will possess the following:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Current MR Drivers Licence or higher equivalent
- Current Front-End Loader and Skid Steer Ticket with demonstrable experience in the safe and efficient operation of both
- Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Previous experience operating Vacuum Truck highly regarded.
- Experience and willingness to carry out general labouring duties within maintenance and construction of water, sewerage and waste assets.
- Advanced First Aid (or the ability to obtain).
- Physically fit to be able to carry out associated labouring duties required within a Water, Sewerage or Waste environment for extended periods in direct sunlight and/or inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to participate in the after-hours on call roster on a regular basis.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Pre-employment screening includes Medicals, Drug and Alcohol Testing, and Criminal History Checks to ensure capability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
