Form of work We are seeking an experienced AO6 Human Resource Officer with workforce planning experience for an upcoming temporary assignment with a Queensland Government department in Brisbane CBD. Starting mid-late March, we anticipate a requirement for 6 months and there is some flexibility for a hybrid working model (up to 2 days/week from home).
Key duties include:
Engage with managers across the department to review workforce and identify changes required
Obtain prior approvals for workforce changes if available
Prepare briefs seeking approval to workforce changes including abolishment of positions
Work with Payroll team to adjust workforce records in line with authorised documentation provided
Work with HR, IT and Finance to effect changes that may be required in other systems or tools
Significantly contribute to updating the organisational chart
Establish process for ongoing workforce review, including roles and responsibilities (partnering with Payroll, HR, IT)
Other adhoc duties that may be required to facilitate workforce management
To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:
Aligned experience in human resource workforce planning
Undergraduate or higher degree qualification in a human resources-related discipline
Human Resource Information Systems experience, preferably Aurion
Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated ability working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
Availability to commence this month
The casual hourly pay rate for this role is in the range of $68.92 to $73.59 (plus superannuation).
