In association with MEGT, our client is recruiting for a 1st Year Carpentry Apprentice to join their expanding and successful team. Work with experts in the field, with a combination of hands on experience and TAFE, this is your chance to get PAID to learn! The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the eagerness to succeed. At the end of the 4 Year Apprenticeship; become a qualified trade professional and secure a CERT III in Carpentry!
Key Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Learn all aspects of carpentry - both residential and commercial applications
- Use a range of hand and power tools to complete tasks
- Construct, install, finish and repair structures and fixtures
- General labouring, clean up of sites, adhere to WHS
- Attend both on the job training combined with study at TAFE QLD
The ideal candidate:
- Ability to undertake physical work/labour
- Punctual and reliable - with a good work ethic
- Attention to detail, good communication skills
- Driving license and a car (Must Have)
- A valid white card (Must Have)
- Cert I in Construction or Cert II in Carpentry (preferable)
