1st Year Wall and Floor Tiler Apprenticeship

Our client is a locally based Wall and Floor Tiling business where the opportunity has now arisen to take on a motivated and proactive individual to complete an Apprenticeship in Wall and Floor Tiling. This is a career-start opportunity leading to an industry-recognized qualification, working collaboratively within an exceptional team environment, this is a great chance to develop grow you’re on the job skills.

This opportunity is open to all individuals looking to commence and apprenticeship as a 1st Year or for those out of trade 2nd and 3rd year apprentices. 

The Role

The successful candidate will be trained up in all aspects of Wall and Floor Tiling including:

• Assisting with the application and construction of tile surfaces
• Handling Wall and Floor tiling materials
• Using Wall and Floor tiling tools and equipment
• Laying ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass tiles on external and internal surfaces and providing protective and decorative finishes
• Preparing surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesives, filing holes and cracks and clearing surfaces

This is a fantastic career-start opportunity to become trade qualified. As an apprentice, you will receive both on and off the job training working towards your Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling.

Requirements

• Be honest and reliable
• Be physically fit
• Have great communication skills as our customers, clients and builders are their priority
• Attention to detail
• Highly motivated with the ability to forward think, be proactive and self-manage themselves on specific tasks
• Passionate about a career in the Tiling and Construction Industry and not just any job
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Completion of a work placement within tiling or a VET or VCAL program within Wall and Floor Tiling (desirable)
• 100% commitment to undertaking this 4 year apprenticeship
• White card prior to commencement
• COVID -19 vaccination
