1St Years Apprentice Commercial Cook

Do you have a fiery passion for food? Looking to work in the hospitality industry, alongside highly trained chefs? Imagine the possibilities, and delicious food you could create!

We would be delighted to train you into becoming a fully qualified Chef! This is the perfect opportunity for you to kick start your cooking career.

If successful:

• You will be working full time 38 hours per week while studying a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery & upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be a qualified Chef.
• Total apprenticeship term: 4 years
• You will be placed with one of our host employers, where you will work alongside experienced chefs to learn the skills and techniques required to become a qualified Commercial Cook.
• Immediate start available

Recent school leavers & Out of Trade apprentices are also encouraged to apply!

Duties may include, but not limited to:

• Assist with the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals for our customers, in accordance with our menu and recipes.
• Learn how to manage the kitchen, including stock control, ordering, and food preparation schedules.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, including food hygiene and sanitation.
• Work closely with the team to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
• Learn to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Any other tasks requested by the host employer

• Be eligible to complete an apprenticeship
• Demonstrate a great attitude and willingness to work
• Be motivated with a positive attitude
• Be reliable, punctual and able to demonstrate initiative
• Be well presented
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Problem solving capabilities
• Work well under pressure and able to demonstrate resilience
