We are seeking to grow our team and employ a lawyer with between 2 -4 years PAE. Valenti Lawyers is looking for a person who values professional service, excellence, and strong relationships. We would also consider lawyers looking for a part-time position.
About the role:
You will be an integral member of a high-performing team, collaborating closely with the partner and senior associate. You will have both the opportunity and the support to work independently.
Encouraged to take ownership of tasks, you will gain hands-on experience to foster personal and professional growth within your own practice while contributing to the firm’s expansion.
Duties will include:
- Providing legal advice on a wide variety of areas, including commercial law, corporate advisory, property law, land resumption and compensation, wills and estates, trusts, finance and securities;
- Drafting property, corporate and commercial documents, including transactional documents;
- Preparing court documents, advising on disputes and litigious matter, and appearing in, and assisting senior lawyers, with matters in all the Magistrates, District, Supreme, Federal Circuit and Federal Courts;
About you:
We are looking for a lawyer with:
- 2 - 4 years post admission experience;
- Demonstrated experience within a commercial law environment;
- Commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively with clients;
- A demonstrated passion for the law coupled with very good drafting, technical and interpersonal skills;
- An ability to work efficiently in a busy environment, organised and able to meet deadlines;
- Business development skills and client relationship skills, which are an essential component of the role;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- An ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information, use discretion and make sound decisions;
- A desire to work within a team which is focused on achieving outstanding client outcomes and building strong relationships.
