About Paediatric Training
Paediatric Advanced Training positions are available in many disciplines at Monash Children’s Hospital, Monash Health. These positions are suitable for paediatric trainees committed to a particular sub-specialty or those keen to gain experience in a subspecialty to assist in planning their future career. Positions are accredited with the relevant Specialist Advisory Committees of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians pending the successful applicants training status with RACP. Monash Children’s Hospital provides a supportive and collaborative environment for paediatric trainees with opportunities for research and teaching.
About the Roles
These positions are for paediatric trainees who have completed the RACP basic training or its equivalent. Positions are based at Monash Children’s Hospital Clayton (apart from the Community based roles). Trainees will work with the Department team providing care to infants, children and youth within the following disciplines:
  • Adolescent Medicine (3 positions: 2 shared with Emergency Medicine on 6 month each basis; 1x 12-month position for AYA trainee
  • Developmental and Community Paediatrics (3 positions: 1 shared with Emergency Medicine on 6 month each basis, 2x 12-month positions Community/Development Paediatrics, job share available)
  • Diabetes and Endocrinology (1 position)
  • Emergency Medicine (1 x12-month position Emergency only (job share available), 6x 6-month positions shared with Developmental & Community Paediatrics (1) or Adolescent Medicine (2)
  • General Paediatrics Advanced Trainee Registrars - Hospital in the Home/Co- CRMO 6mths AND General Paediatric Advanced Trainee Registrar – Inpatient/Co-CRMO 6mths (2 positions)
  • Infectious Diseases (1 position)
  • Nephrology (1 position)
  • Respiratory Medicine (1 position)
  • Rheumatology (1 position)
  • Rehabilitation Medicine (1 position)
  • Sleep Medicine (1 position)
  • Advanced Trainee Leave Relief (2 positions)
  • Community Outreach (1 position)
About You
You will be an advanced trainee of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2023.
What you need:
  • Current registration with APRHA
  • Employee Working with Children’s Check
  • Completion of RACP basic training

You are required to attach a certified copy of your Primary Medical Qualification in the Education Certificate section in the next step. Please respond YES to confirm your acknowledgement.
