An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the West Gippsland Healthcare Group in the role of Unaccredited Orthopaedic Registrar.
The Unaccredited Orthopaedic Registrar position provides you with the opportunity to work in a busy theatre with high turnover and access to a variety of orthopaedic surgical cases. Being the only Orthopaedic Registrar within the department, you will have ample access to many teaching and learning opportunities. You will have the opportunity to further consolidate your leadership skills by providing supervision and education to surgical interns, in collaboration with your consultants and the General Surgery Registrar. West Gippsland Hospital's Orthopaedic Unit is committed to encouraging and fostering an environment that allows for continued skill development and learning. There is also the ability to complete research where desired or required.
Our preferred candidate will have:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
