Job Description
The Program at Epworth:
Our 2024/2025 mid-year intake Postgraduate Program for registered nurses aims to extend your professional career by enhancing your skills and knowledge across Intensive Care. You will be supported, guided and coached throughout the program by dedicated Clinical Educators and senior clinicians.
Commencing in July 2024, you will work a rotating roster whilst completing a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care in collaboration with our higher education partner, Deakin University.

The Specialities:
- Intensive Care – available at Epworth Eastern and Freemasons (please note which site you prefer in your cover letter)
To be successful in this role you will need to be:
- Passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience by delivering high-quality nursing care.
- Professional, empathetic, and compassionate in your personal conduct.
- A positive role model, and have the ability to inspire others.
- Motivated to continually learn, improve, and promote best practice.
You will have:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency; OR New Zealand Citizenship
- You will have a minimum of one-year acute clinical nursing experience (speciality experience desirable but not essential)
Position Description Inherent Requirements
Epworth Eastern
- Located in Box Hill in Melbourne’s eastern corridor
- ICU and Cardiac specialities available
- 14 theatres, Critical Care unit incorporating 12 ICU beds, 10 coronary care beds, 20 monitored cardiac beds, 2 cath labs and a hybrid theatre.
Epworth Freemasons
- Located in East Melbourne
- One of Victoria’s leading maternity hospitals, with 12 theatres on our Clarendon St. site and 6 theatres on our Victoria Parade site.
- Supported by a 24-hour ICU
- You will work across differing surgical procedures including general surgery; gynaecology and Urogynaecology; urology; ENT; maxillofacial; orthopaedics; endoscopy; plastics and maternity services
