Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.Women's Services at University Hospital Geelong is committed to provide the best quality evidence based care for the women of Geelong. We are an expanding service that aims to deliver excellent clinical training to all of our team. Working in a multidisciplinary team we collaborate with highly skilled midwifery, nursing & allied health staff. We have regular obstetrics & gynaecology case review meetings as well as perinatal M&M meetings. We provide in house multidisciplinary training including PROMPT & FSEP. Our aim is to ensure that all team members that work in our department are given opportunities to flourish. Each trainee will have training for their needs. In gynaecology we have access to early pregnancy service, general gynaecology, pelvic pain clinics, urogynaecology. In obstetrics there are pregnancy care clinics, foetal medicine, maternity assessment unit & intrapartum care. You will have access to ultrasound training, training in gynaecology & pregnancy care clinics, and training in intrapartum care.About the RoleTo provide safe and effective supervised clinical management of patients within the Women's Services division. This includes but is not limited to outpatient care, inpatient elective and acute care of both obstetric and gynaecological patients. Under the direction of more experienced medical staff and through collaboration with other health professionals, the resident provides effective appropriate medical care commensurate with their capabilities and in accordance with delegated clinical privileges which may vary from site to site.
