Neonatal Fellows
Applications are sought from suitably qualified medical practitioners for Neonatal Fellow positions in 2025. Positions are available commencing 3rd February 2025 and may be for 6 or 12 months; full-time or part-time. Fellow positions are designed for senior trainees pursuing a career in Neonatology.
The Royal Children's Hospital is a paediatric teaching hospital, and its Newborn Intensive Care Unit acts as a quaternary referral centre for neonates with complex medical and surgical problems from Victoria, its neighbouring states, and overseas. The Unit is the major regional centre for neonatal surgery and is recognised for its expertise in the provision of advanced respiratory support. There is an active research program in several areas. Fellows in their final year of RACP advanced training may act in a junior consultant role under supervision during the latter part of their rotation.
A minimum of 12 months experience in neonatal intensive care is essential for Fellow applicants. All successful candidates must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
